These are the terms you agree to by using this website, and the terms that apply to work we do for you unless a signed proposal says otherwise. They are written plainly on purpose.
Using this website
You may read it, share it and quote it with attribution. You may not copy the design or the written content wholesale, scrape it at scale, or use it to train a model without asking us first.
The text, code, images and layout on this site belong to WebrixLab, except for the stock photography, which is licensed from Unsplash, and client work shown in the portfolio, which belongs to those clients and is shown as a record of what we built.
Enquiries are not a contract
Sending the contact form does not create an agreement between us, and neither does a quote. Work begins when there is a written proposal and you have accepted it. Either side may walk away before that point with nothing owed.
How we quote
We quote fixed scope. A proposal lists what is included, what is not, and the timeline. If you ask for something outside that scope mid-project, we will price it separately before doing it — you will not find it on an invoice you did not expect.
Quotes are valid for 30 days. Prices shown on this website are indicative starting points, not offers.
Payment
- Typically 50% to begin and 50% on completion, unless the proposal sets out milestones.
- Invoices are due within 14 days.
- Work may pause on overdue invoices. We will tell you before that happens, not after.
What we need from you
Most projects that run late run late for the same reasons, so this is worth stating:
- Content, images and access when the timeline says so
- Consolidated feedback within the agreed window, from one named decision-maker
- Whatever accounts and logins the work genuinely requires
If material is outstanding for more than 30 days we may pause the project and reschedule it. We will not simply hold the slot open indefinitely.
Who owns what
This matters more than anything else on this page.
- Everything we build for you is yours once it is paid for — the code, the designs, the content we wrote.
- Every account is in your name from day one — domain, hosting, analytics, ad accounts. Not ours, not "held for convenience".
- We keep the right to show the work in our portfolio and to reuse our own generic tooling and components. If you would rather we did not show it, say so and we will not.
- Third-party licences (fonts, plugins, stock images) stay under their own terms, and renewals are yours.
If we stop working together, you lose us. You do not lose your website, your accounts or your data.
Revisions
Every proposal states how many rounds of revisions are included. Revisions mean refining what was agreed. A change of direction after sign-off is new work and gets its own price — we will say so at the time rather than absorb it and resent it.
Launch and what happens after
After launch we fix anything that does not work as specified, free, for 30 days. That is a bug-fix window, not a window for new features.
Ongoing maintenance, hosting and support are separate arrangements. We will always tell you what a site needs to stay safe, whether or not you buy that from us.
What we do not promise
We will say this plainly because others do not:
- We cannot guarantee search rankings. Nobody can. Anyone promising a position is either guessing or lying.
- We cannot guarantee a number of leads or a level of revenue. We can guarantee the work described in the proposal.
- We are not liable for outages, changes or price rises at third parties — hosts, Google, Meta, plugin vendors.
Liability
Our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the work the claim relates to. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data, though we will always help you recover from a problem whether or not it was ours.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending a project
Either side may end a project in writing. You pay for work completed to that point; we hand over everything produced so far, in a usable form, along with anything needed to continue elsewhere. We do not hold work hostage.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The terms that apply to your project are the ones in force when your proposal was accepted, not whatever appears here later.
